"My rugged home"

With Sheona being an Aussie (and a former CFA employee), it was hard for us both not to be affected by the recent and relentless fires ravaging Australia.

Weeks of burning, the loss of lives and homes, amid the exhaustion of firefighters, most of whom are volunteers. The emotion surfacing from ‘down under’ is no longer shock or sadness – but frustration. Frustration at being played down and ignored by those who are supposed to be in charge.

‘My Rugged Home’ was written as a tribute to hero firefighters – and we hope it helps amplify the message to our Australian PM that more needs to be done to help fight these and future fires.

The song repeats that “we’re not learning” – but we can.

All our love, Aus.
